I have been licensed as a psychologist since 2008 and an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist since 2014. I have practiced therapy in a variety of settings in Ohio, New York, Florida, and Pennsylvania since 2001. After completing my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at Miami University and my clinical internship at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY in 2007, I was hired there as the Interim Director of the Student Counseling Service. In addition to assisting clients of all kinds in private practice throughout my career, I have worked in clinical settings focused on specific populations, including college students, medical professionals, veterans, and the elderly. Further, I have taught psychology at the undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate levels since 2008. I have also supervised doctoral trainees and interns and held various leadership positions, including Program Director of the Clinical Psychology PsyD program at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA, before transitioning to full-time practice in Ohio.
My broad base of training and experience allows me to assist adults struggling with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, sexual dysfunction, and relationship problems. My expertise in the treatment of sexual difficulties includes problematic online sexual behavior as well as:
•Low Desire or Desire Discrepancy in Couples
•Erectile Dysfunction/Ejaculatory Difficulties
•Sexual Pain
•Sexual Dysfunction due to Medical Issues/Aging
•Anxiety/Fear/Aversion to Sex or Intimacy
•Gender Identity or Sexual Orientation Concerns
